Overview

This qualification is an ideal course for those looking to embark on a rewarding career in the health and social care industry. This is an ideal course if you are looking for, or currently working in, care roles in residential settings, home care, and day services.

Qualification

There are no prerequisites for this qualification, however it is recommended that learners have a minimum of Level 2 in literacy and numeracy or equivalent.

This qualification is approved for delivery to learners aged 16+.

Assessment method will be Portfolio of Evidence, so learners will be expected to have access to an area of practice.

This nationally recognised Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care is ideal for individuals who are already working—or preparing to work—as senior care assistants, support workers, or care coordinators across residential, domiciliary, or day service settings.

The qualification is designed to develop both the knowledge and practical skills needed to deliver high-quality, person-centred care. It supports learners in building professional confidence, deepening their understanding of adult care principles, and progressing into more advanced roles within the sector.

To complete the Highfield Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care (RQF) (England), learners must complete the following:

  • All 15 units contained within the mandatory group totalling 39 credits

  • A minimum of 19 credits from the optional group
